SiOnyx Digital Color Night Vision Camera Aurora Standard

The Aurora STANDARD (or Aurora CLASSIC) is "the origin of SiOnyx" and can still display vivid colors at night - even in the most minimal form of residual light. The night vision camera offers full-color night vision and achieves an unprecedented residual light gain. The Aurora is an upgrade of the Aurora Black and is equipped with many extra features that will help you in the darkest nights, including GPS and compass.

The SiOnyx Aurora Standard - also known as the Aurora Base or Aurora Classic - is capable of displaying images in color during the day, at dusk and at night (and monochrome if desired). This is projected on a full-color OLED display. In addition, colour night vision gives a much more natural reproduction, as this is what the same environment looks like during the day. This completely changes your viewing experience compared to classic night vision in navy green or black and white. The camera is not very conspicuous and does not have an IR beam that can reveal your position. The vivid colours help you to observe an environment and identify objects more easily. The camera has an optical 0.5x magnification, which you can enlarge up to 3x using a digital zoom. The standard 0.5x magnification ensures that you see a larger part of the environment and actually 'zoom out'.

Photo and video's to your preference
The camera allows you to take shots according to your own preferences. For example, you can set the shutter speed for photos - from 1.5s to 1/8000s - but also the frame rate of videos up to 60fps for HD recordings. You can also select multiple recording modes, such as HDR, self-timer, time-lapse, panorama and burst mode. The built-in EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) compensates for camera shake and corrects blur. You can save your recordings to a microSD card (not included).

Streaming and remote control
All SiOnyx cameras can be connected to an Apple or Android device (phone and tablet) via Wi-fi. As soon as you have the free SiOnyx Aurora app, you can remotely control the nightvision camera, stream images live and make/share recordings. If you want to control SiOnyx remotely you can place it on any conventional tripod via the 1/4" thread connection (see optional accessories).

Application SiOnyx Aurora STANDARD

The SiOnyx Aurora is extremely suitable as an accessory for e.g. airsoft, yacht, security and navigation. You can use the camera in your hand or attach it to a helmet (night vision goggles), but also remotely control and stream images live to your smartphone or tablet. The Aurora is mainly aimed at demanding users, because the model offers a lot of extra functionality. For example, it may be important to be able to add a time or location to your recording.

With the SiOnyx Aurora you can also quickly switch between night vision and your own view. Because the camera is also certified for kickbacks, you can also attach the Aurora to a weapon (through optional Picatinny rail mount). If you always want to be able to see, even when there is no residual light, an infrared illuminator is optionally available.

Other highlights

- Equipped with GPS, compass and meta-data (time/date)
- Certified for recoils of 6000 Joules (.223/5.56)
- Recoil-activated capture (auto-recording on recoil)

SIONYX: turn night into day instantly!

SiOnyx is a USA based company engaged in the development and production of affordable colour night vision cameras. SiOnyx night vision cameras are the first in the market to be able to display the surroundings in colour at night.

Of course, animals and objects do not change colour in the dark. However, the human eye is not able to see those colours at night. SiOnyx ensures that you can see those colors at night. With the introduction of the Aurora series, these high-end night viewers are now accessible for the commercial market!

By means of patented ultra-low-light sensor technology, the CMOS sensor is able to process the environment at night in colour. The Auroras can 'see' at infrared wavelengths of more than 1100nm. With this technology SiOnyx distinguishes itself from all other digital and analogue night vision devices in the market. The image sensors improve the performance of the night vision devices, which are often used in commercial, industrial, medical and defence related applications.

The ultra-low-light sensor not only ensures that the environment can be displayed in colour at night, but also results in unparalleled light output. Whereas other night vision brands often use infrared auxiliary light, this is no longer necessary due to the CMOS sensor at SiOnyx. This makes these night vision cameras, for example, also extremely suitable for wide environments, such as on the open sea or vast landscapes.
