Media for the DS820DX

In addition to roll paper (code 212831), the DS820DX also works with individual sheets (code 212832). You can print up to 20 x 30 cm using both sheets and rolls. The ribbon, or film, is always included in the package. Download the brochure for an overview of all print formats. The options for double-sided printing, crease lines, and bidirectional cutting are only available when using individual sheets.

Good to know: media must be ordered separately from the printer and is not included. The same applies to the USB and power cables.

Finishes for the DS820DX

The DS820DX offers no fewer than five finishes: glossy, matte, fine matte, luster, and light matte. You can switch between them in the Photo Print software by selecting the desired finish. This means you can choose between glossy and matte without changing the paper. Super convenient!

Free Photo Print software

With the DS820DX, you print directly from DNP’s Photo Print on Windows and macOS. It allows you to create professional photo books, with a choice of more than 55 print formats. The printer automatically produces double-sided prints, with the correct size and crease lines placed in the right position. The modern interface of the Photo Print software makes selecting, editing, and printing photos very easy. There are 190 backgrounds and themes, for example for wedding albums and newborn photography. You can also create folded and double-sided printed photos via DNP’s Hot Folder Print. There is no separate driver available for your computer, so control is always handled through DNP’s two programs. CSP Printer Status API

Do you want to develop your own software for the DS820DX? Then download the CSP Printer Status API. It gives you full freedom to set vertical cuts. The width of the cutting blade can be adjusted digitally with an accuracy of up to 0.25 mm. The paper width ranges from a minimum of 101.6 mm to a maximum of 190.5 mm. The crease function for creating fold lines can be adjusted in 0.1 mm increments. This opens up many possibilities for custom software solutions.

Technical details of the DS820DX

With the DS820DX, you can print up to 30% faster than with the DS80DX. The printer features a 128 MB buffer, a USB 2.0 Type B connection, front media loading, and a rewind function to reduce paper waste. This makes the DS820DX ideal for intensive use in a commercial environment. The power supply operates at 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, with 3.9 A to 1.6 A, and in standby mode the printer consumes only 0.5 W. You receive a 2-year warranty on the printer, up to a maximum of 16,000 prints of 20 x 30 cm, whichever comes first.
