You can easily adjust the brightness to match the conditions. The Vortex Green Dot Venom Enclosed 3 MOA has 12 brightness settings: 10 for daytime use and 2 for night vision equipment. The buttons on top let you increase or decrease the brightness. A button lock helps prevent accidental changes to your settings.

Motion Activation makes the optic extra practical to use. When automatic shutoff is active, the green dot turns off after 10 minutes without use. As soon as the optic detects movement again, the dot automatically turns back on. If you turn the Venom off manually, Motion Activation is disabled.

The Venom runs on a CR2032 battery. On brightness setting 6, the stated runtime during continuous use is about 20.000 hours. If you use the optic for fewer hours per day, the same battery will last significantly longer in practice.

The green aiming dot has a size of 3 MOA and the optic has 1x magnification. Thanks to the parallax-free setting, the position of the dot remains reliable when your eye is not perfectly centred in the viewing window. The unlimited eye relief also gives you plenty of freedom in placement and viewing position.

For adjustment, you use the elevation and windage controls. Each click equals 1 MOA and each full rotation provides 40 MOA. Both maximum elevation adjustment and maximum windage adjustment are 150 MOA. The clicks are audible and tactile, so you can accurately feel how much correction you are applying.

The Vortex Green Dot Venom Enclosed 3 MOA uses the same screw spacing as the DeltaPoint Pro footprint. This makes it suitable for pistols prepared for that footprint. Depending on the model, an additional mounting plate may be required. Vortex recommends an initial sight-in distance of about 23 metres after mounting.

With a length of 46.7 mm, a width of 32.3 mm and a height of 30.5 mm, the Venom remains very compact. The weight including battery is only 49.6 grams. This adds very little extra size and weight to your setup.

Maintenance is simple too. The parts are permanently lubricated and do not need extra lubricant. A soft cloth is enough for the exterior. Remove dust and dirt from the lenses before cleaning them and use products that are suitable for coated optical lenses. Preferably do not store the optic for long periods in direct sunlight or in a very hot place.

Vortex supports the Venom with the VIP Warranty. This lifetime warranty is unlimited and unconditional for damage covered by the warranty conditions. Registration, the original packaging and proof of purchase are not required. Loss, theft, intentional damage and cosmetic damage that does not affect performance are not covered by this warranty.
