The headset features a convenient flip-up system that holds the monocular securely out of the way when not in use. Because the tube amplifies ambient light, the device automatically powers off in bright conditions, so it’s only suitable for use in the dark. It is not designed for daytime use. The PVS-14 is also available in White Phosphor and with a different image tube (NL1), and you can mount it on a helmet using additional accessories.
