FLIR Scion OTM266 Thermal Monocular

The FLIR Scion OTM266 is a thermal imaging camera specifically designed for observations in complete darkness, adverse weather conditions and the most challenging landscapes. Unique to this thermal camera is its very large field of view of 24x18 degrees. With the Scion OTM (Outdoor Thermal Monocular) you are ready to capture any human or animal encounter.

You now have the most high-tech options, such as the new 640x512 (12µm) Boson detector, three viewing modes, GPS, Wi-fi, Bluetooth, and endless photo and video recordings. The 12µm boson detector gives you a superior viewing experience, combining pixels from multiple shots in real-time (60hz). This quadruples the image resolution! You can enlarge the standard optical magnification of 1x by means of a digital zoom 2x, 4x and 8x.

Viewing modes

The OTM266 has three observation modes. You can use the standard Scouting Mode to observe as usual. A new feature is the Lock-Span Mode. It filters out unwanted temperatures that you don't want to see. Think of very cold or hot temperatures, or bright objects such as air and fire. Only objects that you want to focus on will get a color; filtered objects will be displayed in black. The third mode is Picture-in-Picture. This option is used to zoom in on a certain object in the picture (2x), without losing the rest of the field of view.

The OTM266 is a high-end thermal monocular designed specifically for wildlife research, outdoor and general observation where a large field of view is desired. But also for tactical applications, such as police, defense and other forms of security or law enforcement, this thermal imaging camera is an extremely useful addition. It is suitable for short and medium range observations in complete darkness, adverse weather conditions and the most challenging landscapes. Whether it is nature observation or detection of persons; the Scion OTM series makes everything and everyone instantly visible.
